DNA make key hires looking towards 2021
DNA Recruit, the specialist marketing, digital and creative recruitment business have appointed Stephen Phillips as Head of Tech to bolster their Technical and Digital recruitment division.
Stephen will join the leadership team alongside Julie Storey who recently joined the business as MD and to head up DNA North and Ali Wallace who founded the business back in 2008.
Ali said “It’s a really exciting time here at DNA. Having joined the Iliad Group earlier this year, we identified some key strategic hires we wanted to make which would help deliver our ambitious 5-year plan. DNA’s always had an extremely strong presence in the London agency scene and Julie’s expertise and relationships in the North will allow us to expand geographically as well as develop more client-side marketing and digital opportunities”
Talking about Stephen he added “We’re delighted to have Stephen joining the leadership team at DNA. It’s obviously an exciting time in Tech and Digital and attracting someone of Stephen’s calibre was really important as we grow both areas of the business. We’re absolutely raring to go with big plans in 2021 and beyond. We’ve invested heavily in our tech platforms which has paid dividend in allowing us to continue to operate at full strength throughout lockdown. Like most businesses, we’ve had our challenges this year but as Digital and Tech continue to thrive then can only look positively towards the next chapter of growth at DNA.”
DNA Technology division's launch is pivotal to DNA’s continued growth and success. Research by Tech Nation and the governments Digital Economy Council has shown an increase in job adverts for Technology and Digital roles. These roles are up 36% since June this year. In July the BBC reported the demand for web designers and developers grew 15.5% compared with June this year. Clients however are been flooded with applicants reporting up to 80% of applications are from non-suitable candidates adding to the pressures and time constraints to already strained business with all the extra admin. The good news for DNA is that to find the best people out there in the Technology sector clients will rely on recruitment partners to help with this process.
