Are you an experienced Venue Operations Planning Manager looking for an exciting new challenge? Our client, a world-class venue in the heart of London, is on the lookout for a dynamic professional to join their Venue Operations team. This iconic location hosts over 400 events and welcomes millions of visitors annually. The Role
As the Venue Operations Planning Manager, you will be at the core of ensuring seamless event operations. From exhibitions and conferences to immersive experiences, you will coordinate scheduling and resource allocation for both internal teams and third-party contractors. Your role is crucial in maintaining optimal service levels, financial accuracy, and staff welfare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement efficient operations planning methodologies.
- Lead monthly forecasting with department heads, managing schedules and budgets.
- Match the right team members to clients and events, ensuring top-notch experiences.
- Optimize staff schedules to minimize overtime and hotel bookings.
- Collaborate with wider business teams to align planning efforts with business goals.
- Monitor and adjust plans based on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Analyse data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide regular reports and updates to the Director of Venue Operations and leadership team.
- Proven experience in operations or workforce planning.
- Proficiency in planning software and tools (ERP, MRP systems, Excel).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Planning and Decision Making: Create realistic and efficient plans, exceed deadlines.
- Budgetary Control: Monitor resources to ensure spending aligns with budgets.
- Negotiation and Stakeholder Management: Use strong listening and influencing skills to achieve agreements.
- Influence and Persuasion: Guide decisions and negotiations to meet objectives while maintaining relationships.
