Venue Event Services Sales Manager

Are you a dynamic and proactive Sales Manager ready to take the event services sector by storm? Our client, a world-class venue in London, is on the hunt for a motivated professional to lead their sales efforts and drive new business opportunities. Join a team that hosts over 400 events and welcomes millions visitors annually, all while placing its people at the heart of its success.

The role:
As the Venue Event Services Sales Manager, you will spearhead the pursuit of high-yield event service and partnership sales. Your mission? To expand revenue streams and forge new strategic commercial partnerships. With your deep understanding of event services and a proven track record in commercial management, you'll drive growth and innovation in our client's offerings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive New Business: Identify and seize new business opportunities through effective marketing strategies and sales tactics to secure high-value contracts.
  • Client Alignment: Sell services to large-scale and long-lead Conferences & Exhibitions events, ensuring service alignment with client needs.
  • Sales Efforts: Target large-scale new business conference & exhibitions events, converting prospects into loyal clients.
  • Innovate Revenue Streams: Identify and implement new event service revenue streams to diversify and expand offerings.
  • Cultivate Partnerships: Develop new commercial partnerships to enhance client value and maximize revenue.
  • Pitch Management: Lead compelling RFP pitches for high-value venue services and partnership opportunities.

The Person
  • Extensive experience in event services and industry supply chain.
  • Preferable background in Agency, Audio Visual, or General Service Contractor (GSC) roles.
  • Minimum 5 years in commercial management and business development with a proven sales track record.
  • Proficient in building strong internal relationships and managing RFPs and pitches.
  • Ability to develop and execute commercial strategies, forecast market trends, and maximize revenue.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the capability to influence and persuade clients and partners.
