My time at DNA as a Marketing and Social Media Assistant

When I embarked on my time with DNA, I had just moved halfway across the world from Sydney in Australia.

 

It was a new role, in a new country and in a completely different industry than what I was used to - it goes without saying, I was nervous. 

The DNA team were so great and supportive from day one that I immdiately felt like part of the team. I felt at ease in working here because of everyone's friendly nature, whether chatting over a team lunch buffet purchased from the market stalls of Leather Lane or over cheeky lunchtime drinks - a treat on my last day with everyone.

 

They certainly knew how to keep me busy and I set out working on a range of tasks - I learnt a lot of things and I learned them quickly.

My responsibilities on a day to day basis included assisting Lisa, the Marketing and Social Media Manager, with updating DNA's social media channels, producing industry related content, implementing SEO tactics for the website and producing progress resports.  I also worked quite a bit on polishing up their CRM and general office administration.  

 

All of this I thoroughly enjoyed as two working days were never the same and I could complete most tasks in the order I preferred.

Often I watched in appreciation as the rest of the team dealt with candidates and clients in a professional, timely manner. They really have an ethos of "cracking on".  In my time here I have observed that the DNA bunch are a driven, talented group who get things done. 

Working for the team was a pleasure and I loved getting my hands dirty being involved as much as I could in marketing and social media.
