Video Technical Specialist – Live Events & AV

Location: France
Salary: €47,000–€55,000 DOE
Contract: Permanent

We’re working with a leading global live events and audiovisual production business looking for an experienced Video Technical Specialist to join its technical team in France.

This is a hands-on role for an experienced video professional who can take ownership of advanced AV equipment across live events, from setup and operation through to troubleshooting and de-rig. You’ll also play a key role in supporting clients on site and providing technical guidance to other members of the team.

The Role
  • Set up, operate and dismantle advanced video and audiovisual equipment across a range of live events.

  • Troubleshoot technical issues quickly and effectively to ensure events run smoothly.

  • Carry out advanced technical duties before, during and after events.

  • Supervise and provide direction to other technicians during live events.

  • Work closely with internal teams to develop and deliver effective event solutions.

  • Build strong relationships with clients, venues and internal stakeholders, delivering a high standard of service throughout.

  • Support the preparation, storage, transportation, security and maintenance of technical equipment.

  • Assist with equipment inventories and forward planning for technical requirements.

  • Mentor and coach technical, sales and operational colleagues, helping to develop technical capability across the wider team.

  • Maintain high standards of health, safety and equipment security at all times.

About You
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience within video / AV technical production.

  • Strong hands-on knowledge of professional video and audiovisual equipment within a live events environment.

  • Experience managing multiple technical tasks or project requirements simultaneously.

  • Confident troubleshooting technical issues in a time-sensitive live environment.

  • Strong client-facing skills with the ability to communicate professionally with clients, colleagues and senior stakeholders.

  • Previous experience supervising or guiding other technicians would be highly beneficial.

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in audiovisual technology is preferred but not essential.

  • Experience within customer service or hospitality environments would also be advantageous.

  • Fluent French and English are essential for this position.

Package
  • €47,000–€55,000 salary depending on experience

  • Permanent contract
