Technical Specialist – Audio

Location: France
Salary: €47,000–€55,000 depending on experience
Contract: Permanent

We’re working with a leading global events and audiovisual production business looking for an experienced Technical Specialist – Audio to join their team in France.

This is a hands-on technical role supporting the delivery of high-quality live and corporate events, taking responsibility for the installation, operation and dismantling of advanced audio and AV equipment while providing technical leadership on site.

Please note: Applicants must be fluent in both French and English.

The Role

• Set up, operate and dismantle professional audio and audiovisual equipment for live events.
  
  
• Troubleshoot technical issues quickly and effectively during event delivery.
  
  
• Carry out advanced technical duties before, during and after events.
  
  
• Supervise and provide direction to other technicians during live events.
  
  
• Work closely with internal operational teams to develop and deliver effective event solutions.
  
  
• Build strong relationships with clients, venues and hotel teams, providing a consistently high level of customer service.
  
  
• Support and mentor technical, operational and commercial colleagues, helping to develop their technical capabilities.
  
  
• Assist with the preparation, safe storage, transportation and maintenance of technical equipment.
  
  
• Manage equipment inventories and anticipate equipment requirements for upcoming events.
  
  
• Ensure all equipment is protected from loss or damage and that company health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
  
  

About You

• Minimum 4 years’ experience within professional audio / AV, ideally within live events, corporate events, venues or hospitality environments.
  
  
• Strong hands-on technical knowledge of professional audio systems and event technology.
  
  
• Previous experience supervising or leading technicians during event delivery.
  
  
• Confident troubleshooting technical issues in a live environment.
  
  
• Strong client-facing and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues and senior stakeholders.
  
  
• Experience managing multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.
  
  
• A degree or qualification in audiovisual technology or a related discipline would be advantageous.
  
  
• Previous customer service or hospitality experience is beneficial.
  
  
• Fluent French and English are essential.
  
  

Package

• €47,000–€55,000 salary, depending on experience.
  
  
• Permanent contract.
