Hertfordshire | Full-time | £60,000–£65,000
A leading live events production company is looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to join its growing projects team.
Working across a diverse portfolio of live events, brand activations and corporate productions, you'll take ownership of projects from the initial client brief through to onsite delivery. This is a role for someone who enjoys balancing technical expertise with project management, building strong client relationships and delivering exceptional live experiences.
The Role As Technical Project Manager, you'll work closely with clients to understand their objectives, develop practical technical solutions and oversee every stage of project delivery. You'll coordinate internal teams, suppliers and freelance crew, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and within budget.
You'll have the opportunity to work across lighting, audio and video, leading technical delivery while remaining commercially focused throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects from initial client brief through to onsite delivery
- Develop technical solutions alongside internal production teams
- Produce quotations, proposals and technical documentation
- Manage project budgets, schedules and logistics
- Coordinate suppliers, freelancers and technical crews
- Lead onsite delivery, ensuring projects are completed safely and to a high standard
- Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout each project
- Identify and resolve technical or operational challenges as projects evolve
- Previous experience as a Technical Project Manager within live events, production or AV
- Strong technical knowledge in at least one discipline, with a good working understanding of lighting, audio and video systems
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Confident producing technical documentation and equipment specifications
- Commercially aware, with experience managing budgets and quotations
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- AutoCAD experience is advantageous
- Full UK driving licence preferred
- £60,000–£65,000 salary
