Group International Financial Controller – Sweden

Group International Financial Controller- Global Production Agency -Stockholm/Hybrid

The Role:
As Group International Financial Controller, you’ll oversee the agency’s financial operations in Sweden and the USA, reporting directly into the 2 Founders as well as the Group CFO. You’ll be a key player in shaping financial strategy, improving reporting processes, ensuring compliance, and driving commercial performance. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, including Client Services, Commercial, and Operations, supporting decision-making and helping the business scale effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the consolidation of financial results from international subsidiaries
• Manage the audit process for the companies under your portfolio.
• Lead accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
• Supervise and develop the finance team across management accounting, AP, and AR.
• Ensure compliance with group policies and external statutory requirements.
• Manage external accountants statutory reporting.
• Partner with client teams to monitor profitability, improve margins, and optimise project delivery. Including billing and job costing.
• Maintain strong internal controls and drive process improvements across finance functions.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and balance sheet reporting.
• Deliver insightful financial analysis to support senior leadership.
• Collaborate on system and process upgrades to improve automation and efficiency.
• Act as a point of contact for external auditors, tax authorities, and group finance.

 
Requirements:

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified, with experience reporting under IFRS standards.
• Fluent in English and Swedish
• Experience within a Media, Creative, Production or Marketing agency preferred.
• Exposure to audits, either as an auditor or in an audited business.
• Strong understanding of project-based accounting and client profitability.
• Confident communicator, able to build trust with senior stakeholders.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with finance/ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, Sage)
• Analytical, commercially aware, and highly organised, with a strong eye for detail.
• Collaborative team player, comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Experience incorporating AI into finance processes is a plus, but not required.

 
 
Location: Stockholm/Sweden – Hybrid
Salary: €90K- €100K  Per Annum + Benefits
