Finance Director – Retail Marketing Agency – Midlands

DNA Recruit are working with a Dynamic and Collaborative Retail Marketing Agency. They’re on the lookout for a commercially minded Finance Director to join their leadership team.
 
This role blends strategic oversight with hands-on leadership of a skilled Finance team and offers a unique opportunity to influence key decisions in a creative environment.
 
Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a team of Finance Managers and Assistants, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Present insightful financial analysis to support data-led decision-making across the business.
• Oversee the annual budgeting process, KPIs, monthly management accounts, and financial reporting.
• Manage cash flow, tax, payroll, audits, risk, and external relationships, including banks and auditors.
• Collaborate with department heads to drive operational efficiency and commercial strategy.
• Ensure compliance through robust policies and controls while supporting the business’s wider strategic goals.
• Work closely with the regional Finance Business Partner to meet group-level requirements.

 
Skills and Experience Required

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with strong leadership experience.
• Background in a Shopper Marketing, Retail or Creative agency
• Proven ability to translate financial data into actionable commercial insight.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.

 
Salary: £100k + Benefits
Location: Midlands - Hybrid, with a minimum requirement of 2 days per week in the office
