JOB DESCRIPTION
This is a senior leadership opportunity within a specialist agency that goes far beyond in-store POS and e-commerce assets. They operate at the intersection of shopper strategy, category growth, retail engagement, and innovation, helping global brands win at the point of purchase and influence behaviour across the full shopper journey.
The Role:
A senior leadership opportunity for a Client Services Director to take ownership of a significant client portfolio, drive commercial performance, and unlock long-term growth opportunities across major global accounts.
Working closely with the Managing Director, you will act as the senior client lead across your portfolio and play a key role in shaping client strategy, agency growth, and team performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and convert long-term growth opportunities across brand, category, engagement, and innovation
- Build and grow senior client relationships, becoming a trusted strategic partner
- Lead annual planning, scope development, and commercial negotiations
- Partner with new business teams on pitches and onboarding of new clients
- Ensure the agency is embedded as a strategic partner within client organisations
- Oversee delivery across a major client portfolio, ensuring high-quality, measurable output
- Shape responses to complex briefs across shopper, category, and retail strategy
- Champion ROI-led thinking, KPIs, and effectiveness frameworks
- Own forecasting, budgeting, and margin performance across accounts
- Ensure strong scoping, resourcing, and delivery discipline
- Lead, mentor, and develop Account Directors and Account Managers
- Build a high-performance, collaborative team culture
- Support succession planning and capability development
- Act as a senior voice in shaping client services, ways of working, and agency growth
- Stay ahead of shopper, retail, and category trends
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a senior client services or account leadership role within a shopper marketing, brand experience, or integrated agency
- Strong background across brand, category, and retail engagement work
- Proven commercial acumen with experience driving growth and profitability
- Experience managing complex, multi-account portfolios
- Confident communicator and presenter at senior stakeholder level
- Experience delivering digital, content, and technology-led campaigns
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams
- Natural relationship builder with gravitas, energy, and influence
Additional Info:
- Salary: £70K– £85K Bonus
- Location: Leeds (Hybrid) - regular travel to Newcastle required
