Business Development Director

DNA Recruit are working with a highly respected Integrated Communications Agency, bringing together expertise across creative, content, media, data, behavioural science and technology. With a collaborative and entrepreneurial culture, they are entering an exciting phase of growth and are looking for a commercially driven New Business Director to help shape and accelerate their future success.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious business development professional who thrives on building relationships, identifying opportunities and converting conversations into long-term client partnerships.

As New Business Director, you will take ownership of the agency’s creative and integrated new business agenda, driving revenue growth through proactive business development and strategic relationship building.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a proactive new business strategy aligned with agency growth objectives.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified prospects through networking, referrals, outreach and intermediary relationships.
• Establish trusted relationships with senior marketers, procurement teams and industry intermediaries.
• Lead opportunities from initial contact through to conversion, working closely with senior leadership and specialist teams.
• Shape compelling agency propositions and commercial narratives that resonate with prospective clients.
• Manage RFIs, RFPs, credentials and proposal processes, ensuring all submissions are tailored, strategic and commercially effective.
• Represent the agency at industry events, awards programmes and networking opportunities.
• Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting, reporting and opportunity management.
• Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across the wider business.
• Provide market insight and commercial intelligence to support broader agency growth initiatives.

 
Skills and Experience Required:

• Proven track record of winning significant new business within a creative, integrated, digital or communications agency environment.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in new business, business development, agency growth or commercial leadership roles.
• Strong network of senior marketing, procurement and industry contacts.
• Experience managing pitch strategies and opportunities from initial prospecting through to successful conversion.
• Strong understanding of creative, strategic, content and production services.
• Experience selling social, technology, AI or digital capabilities would be advantageous.
• Broad sector experience across areas such as FMCG, retail, financial services, automotive, beverages or technology.
• Excellent presentation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercially astute with strong pipeline management and forecasting capabilities.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
• Genuine interest in the intersection of creativity, media, technology, behavioural science and innovation.

 
Salary: £80K-90K benefits comms
