DNA Recruit is working with an ambitious integrated creative and content business that partners with leading brands to deliver commercially effective creative, content, packaging and production solutions across multiple markets. Following recent expansion within Germany, they are seeking an experienced Business Development Director to drive growth across the DACH region.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven individual with a strong network and a proven track record of winning new business within the creative, branding, packaging or marketing services sectors.
 
About the Role
As Business Development Director, you will be responsible for generating new revenue opportunities and building a high-quality pipeline across the DACH market. Working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, you will identify opportunities, develop relationships with key decision-makers and convert prospects into long-term partnerships.

You will:

• Drive new business growth and achieve agreed revenue targets across the DACH region.
• Identify opportunities within sectors including FMCG, healthcare, B2B, food, beverage, beauty and retail.
• Develop relationships with senior stakeholders and position the agency as a trusted strategic partner.
• Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through to proposal development, negotiation and contract completion.
• Lead and contribute to RFIs, RFPs, pitches and presentations.
• Collaborate with strategy, creative, production and client services teams to create compelling solutions for clients.
• Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and CRM reporting.
• Represent the business at industry events and networking opportunities.
• Contribute to commercial strategy, pricing models and regional growth plans.
• Share best practice and mentor colleagues where appropriate.

Skills and Experience Required

• At least 8 years' experience in business development, sales or client leadership within a creative, branding, packaging, production or marketing services environment.
• A strong network of senior contacts across the DACH region.
• Demonstrable success in securing and growing sizeable client accounts, including six-figure revenue opportunities.
• Excellent commercial acumen, with experience in pricing, negotiations and contract discussions.
• Strong understanding of creative production, content, packaging, digital and omnichannel marketing services.
• Knowledge of emerging trends including AI, innovation, CGI and technology-led production solutions.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills in English.
• A collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
• Strong organisational skills, resilience and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with major brands would be highly advantageous.
• Degree educated or able to demonstrate equivalent professional experience.

 
Location: Hamburg, Germany (Hybrid - ideally based in Hamburg or Northern Germany, with flexibility to travel as required).
Salary: 90k GBP per annum plus bonus
