JOB DESCRIPTION
An established global events and production business is looking for an experienced Senior AV Project Manager to join its London team, taking ownership of the end-to-end technical delivery of large-scale live and corporate events.
This is a hands-on project management role covering everything from initial technical planning and budgeting through to onsite execution and post-event close. You’ll work closely with clients, sales, operations, technical teams, venues and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered smoothly, safely and profitably.
The Role
- Manage complex AV and technical production projects from initial planning through to load-in, live delivery and load-out.
- Develop technical production schedules, labour plans, equipment requirements, sub-rental needs and detailed execution plans.
- Determine and secure the technical, operational and staffing resources required for each project.
- Act as the key onsite project lead and client contact throughout event delivery.
- Work closely with sales and operations teams to determine equipment requirements and appropriate technical solutions.
- Review technical specifications and sales documentation to ensure proposed solutions meet client requirements.
- Manage onsite changes to schedules, equipment and workforce while keeping projects on track.
- Lead and coordinate technical teams, suppliers, subcontractors and venue partners.
- Oversee risk assessments, method statements and wider health & safety requirements.
- Manage project budgets and event costs, including labour and sub-rental spend, ensuring changes are captured for billing.
- Maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle, delivering a consistently high standard of service.
- 4+ years’ technical experience within corporate staging, live events, AV production or broadcast.
- Strong technical AV knowledge combined with solid project management experience.
- Comfortable leading complex, large-scale event delivery in fast-paced environments.
- Strong understanding of budgets, cost control and operational logistics.
- Confident managing clients, technical teams, suppliers and multiple stakeholders.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience would be beneficial.
- Technical diagram knowledge or experience is advantageous.
- Highly organised, solutions-focused and able to remain composed under pressure.
- Flexible to travel where required and comfortable with the working patterns associated with live events.
You’ll be joining a global organisation offering access to state-of-the-art event technology, clearly defined career progression and opportunities to work across an international network. The wider benefits package includes private healthcare after 12 months, enhanced family leave, company sick pay, employee assistance and recognition programmes, volunteering support and employee perks.
