Workshop Manager - Exhibition/Experiential Design & Build - Shropshire

DNA Recruit is working with a fast paced, fun, energised team within the exhibition stand design and build industry, who are looking for a focused and driven Workshop Manager to lead and mentor a team of Fabrication Project Managers and operatives, ensuring delivery across an exciting portfolio of projects and activations with a range of industry leading clients! Working closely with internal teams and clients, you will be the main point of contact and bridge the communication gap in order to ensure that project timelines are adhered to and that everyone has clear and defined duties per project requirements.

Main Responsibilities:
Lead the development of KPI's to manage and continually improve your teams performance, with a "lead from the front" management style.
Prepare, plan and manage the workshop productivity and objectives, developing production schedules ahead of project kick-off. Maintain departmental systems and procedures including driving rigorous H&S such as safety audits, accident investigation processes and effective risk management. Stock management, estimating, budgeting and scheduling will also be vital in this role.

The Person…
Significant experience in a supervisory or group leader role, with extensive experience of workshop processes, equipment and tooling as well as knowledge of software such as CAD, Vectorworks and/or AdobeSuite will be essential in order to be successful in this role.

The job role requires effective leadership and co-ordination of a diverse set of workshop facilities (joinery, metal, graphics, finishing) and staff (operatives, project managers). Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with and influence stakeholders at all levels, in order to report on technical production, warehouse, hire and client teams.
