About the Role:
DNA Recruit is partnering with one of London’s premier large-scale events venues to find a Waste Manager who is passionate about sustainability and waste management. If you have a background in venue operations and are ready to take the lead in reducing environmental impact, this role is for you.

As the Waste Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of developing and implementing innovative waste management strategies. You’ll work closely with the Head of Cleaning & Waste Management to ensure that the venue remains not only spotless but also environmentally responsible. Your efforts will help create a greener future while enhancing client satisfaction and exploring new revenue opportunities.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop & Implement: Create comprehensive waste management plans to minimize environmental impact and promote sustainability.
• Collaborate: Work alongside our official waste management partner to ensure efficient disposal and recycling processes, reducing contamination.
• Innovate: Identify new revenue streams related to waste management and see them through from concept to execution.
• Train & Educate: Support and train staff on waste sorting and disposal procedures to upskill the team.
• Client Support: Collaborate with clients to develop event-specific waste management plans, ensuring operational efficiency and sustainability.
• Stay Ahead: Keep informed about industry regulations and best practices, introducing new innovations to continuously improve waste management operations.

What You Bring:

• Experience: Previous experience in waste management, environmental sustainability, or a related field.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of waste management principles, regulations, and sustainable practices.
• Leadership: Ability to manage multiple projects, engage stakeholders, and drive sustainability initiatives.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with a knack for educating and influencing diverse groups.
