Company Overview
Imagine being part of a venue sales team that powers creative events and experiences for leading brands and organisations. With over 150 bookings each year, our client, an exceptional events venue located in the heart of London, has become a go-to destination. They've hosted international conferences, global product launches, fashion shows, awards dinners, consumer exhibitions, and more. Now, they're seeking a skilled Senior Account Manager to join their growing team.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Account Manager, you'll play a crucial role in four key areas:
Reactive Enquiry Conversion:
- Qualify inquiries and understand event briefs.
- Create tailored proposals and quotations.
- Lead site visits.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals.
- Build strong relationships with corporate clients, agencies, and influencers.
- Develop customised account contact plans.
- Educate clients on the venue's versatility and uniqueness.
- Identify opportunities through research, including lost bookings, competitor analysis, and industry trends.
- Cultivate relationships to ensure the venue is top-of-mind for future events.
- Collaborate on departmental projects.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to Account Managers.
Responsibilities Include:
- Efficiently respond to enquiries.
- Advise clients on space utilisation.
- Create custom service proposals.
- Arrange and lead site visits.
- Manage and develop client accounts.
- Recommend approved suppliers.
- Participate in industry events.
- Generate new business through prospecting.
- Support junior team members.
- Collaborate on department projects.
To excel in this role, you should have:
- 4-6 years of event venue or relevant sales experience.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets exceeding £1M per year.
- Ambition and confidence.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Customer-focused approach.
- Ability to thrive under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
