Technical Project Manager – Touring projects – AV Production - London
Salary: £60K
 
Are you a seasoned Technical Project Manager with experience of delivering projects in relation to touring events? We are on the lookout for a dynamic individual to fill the role of Technical Project Manager for touring projects, on behalf of our client, a prominent player in the AV production sector.
 
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and monitoring the work of technical staff to ensure the successful execution of events and services sold to clients, all within established company guidelines.
 
Essential Functions:
 
  • Work collaboratively with the Director of Touring and team members to maintain tour technical quality.
  • Review tour quotes, ensuring appropriate utilization and specifications of technical equipment and staff assignments.
  • Act as an internal technical consultant, relaying technical issues and trends to Engineering and Technology staff.
  • Serve as a technical liaison to clients, explaining technology, quality expectations, and technical options.
  • Manage the quality of tour products and on-site implementation through technical guidance of tour staff.
  • Assess technical training requirements, develop training systems, and monitor progress of participants.
  • Analyze current equipment inventory, research new technology, and recommend purchases based on industry trends.

  • Technical Skills: Display expertise in the use, setup, operation, and troubleshooting of gear. Communicate technical knowledge effectively.
  • Problem Solving/Decision Making: Independently recognize and troubleshoot problems. Demonstrate originality in handling challenges.
  • Project Management: Plan, organize, direct, and control work tasks within deadlines and goals.
  • Client Skills: Recognized by clients as actively involved in meeting their needs. Requested for future projects based on past performance.
  • Safety Awareness: Identify and correct conditions affecting employee safety. Uphold safety standards.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years of administrative experience, preferably in a high-paced environment.
