Job Role

The Senior Technical Producer will be responsible for the planning and delivery of the live experience aspects of the agency's client projects. As part of the integrated marketing services team, you would be expected to demonstrate an understanding and to interpret our client's marketing objectives and also show an understanding of the agency's full service proposition. The aim is to use live events to either originate or amplify a broader brand communications message that can live beyond the immediate life and reach of a physical activation.

You will be responsible for leading teams that will deliver best-in-class live experience projects that become a pillar of the integrated client campaign delivery. The events will deliver equally to the onsite audience and provide the platform for engagement with a broader audience via content and other comms activity.

Key Responsibilities:-

  • Drawing on strategic and creative visions, plan and deliver imaginative live activations that promote brand messaging and objectives;
  • Managing and, where necessary, leading the event planning process including technical, production, administrative and logistic requirements;
  • To strike a balance between practicality and creativity ensuring that the Live Activation is not only focussed on the core audience of attendees but also is designed to maximise the opportunity for success of wider content and other engagement activity;
  • Creating and managing prudent budgets that deliver for the agency and Client;
  • Creating and managing project management timelines for live experience delivery;
  • Considering and providing solutions to the most complex technical requirements using an extensive range of supplier contacts;
  • Working with Client Services, Strategy, Creative and Content departments to ensure integrated campaign delivery;
  • Working with Client Services and Strategy departments to incorporate KPIs or other evaluation metrics into live activity;
  • Recruiting & managing all pre and onsite staff requirements for event planning & delivery;
  • Managing the process of supplier procurement ensuing quality and value;
  • Delivering audience experience & anticipating & managing audience behaviour;
  • Overseeing the sourcing, creation and delivery of all event and activation collateral;
  • Ensuring that each of your team members understands what success looks like;
  • Working on a proactive as well as a reactive basis to support the Client Services function in reassuring clients that event activity will be efficiently delivered under-pinning faith from the Client by justifying yourself as their agency of choice;
  • Ensuring that each client receives a consistent quality experience and that knowledge obtained on various projects, including client feedback, is shared across all projects and the agency;
  • Contributing to pitches for existing & new clients adding production expertise where necessary;
  • Assisting internal teams to add value initiatives to help build client relationships and to cross/up sell additional services in-line with client needs;
  • Following and ensuring compliance with all the agency's financial and operational systems and processes;

 

Key Skills and Experience Required

  • 5+ years brand led event experience with a strong track record of providing innovative and imaginative technical solutions;
  • Experience of working with major projects for blue chip brands;
  • Understanding, appreciation and ability to interpret and apply the full range of the agency's core specialisms (with focus on lifestyle engagement, events and content) in a live environment;
  • An ability to interpret a strategic position & creative concept into an engaging event activity;
  • Exceptional event planning and delivery skills with the ability to inspire, persuade and reassure Director level contacts through confident presentation and discussion;
  • Ability to manage large scale producer and production teams;
  • Positive solution based approach that delivers for the Clients requirements;
  • Strong negotiation skills when selecting and dealing with suppliers;
  • Ability to identify incremental opportunities to drive the businesses commercial growth;
  • Genuine interest and passion for our target audiences and our sector with an 'ear to the ground' within the industry;
  • Good social/networking skills and proven experience of making strategic connections for the purpose of business growth;
  • Ability to define and follow process - operational, technological and financial;
  • Desirable: Experience with delivering content campaigns.

Reporting

  • Reports directly to Founders and manages juniors and freelancers across content and events.

Working closely with

  • Founders, Account Directors & Head of Finance

Salary Bracket

  • £35,000 - £50,000 (subject to experience) plus competitive benefits package
