JOB DESCRIPTION

Sales Manager – Conferences & Exhibitions – South Africa
Salary: R75K – R90K Per Month + Benefits + Commission
 
DNA Recruit is working with a leading Global Exhibitions and Conference organiser who are looking to recruit an exceptional Sales Manager to grow a network of accounts and new business prospects through selling event, media and digital products. If you have solid experience in Conferences and Expo's  with a strong consultative sales approach, understanding a client’s objectives and creating bespoke solutions, then we want to hear from you!

This is an incredible organisation which is a leading global conference, events and media business offering a remote working opportunity for someone based in South Africa, ideally within Cape Town due to logistics of events happening in and around the Mother City.
This new role is pivotal for the commercial growth of this incredible portfolio. As a leader of the event sales team, your focus will be on strategically expanding business-critical accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the portfolio sales team, strategically growing pivotal accounts.
  • Manage and strategically grow one of the festival's key pillars.
  • Drive continuous personal development for the team and support an integrated go-to-market sales strategy.
  • Manage the full account of the customer base, ensuring high-level service delivery.
  • Articulate the value proposition of our Event, Digital, Virtual, and Media offerings.
  • Proactively identify new prospects and business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Sales Leads to drive Research and Consulting services products.
  • Managing and overseeing clients, serving as the point of escalation or conflict resolution.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in selling expo’s and sponsorship at a senior level.
  • Management of multilevel sales teams.
  • Coaching and mentoring sales teams for development.
  • Consultative sales experience in upselling omnichannel solutions.
  • Strong data and analytical skills for forecasting and managing sales pipelines.
