DNA Recruit has partnered with a Global Events Agency who are looking to hire someone to catapult their business to new heights in the role of Head of Live Projects. A highly strategic, operations and delivery focused position which will oversee a core team of 18 skilled events specialists, with the aim to diversify the businesses client base and expand on the services they offer, focusing on content and creative solutions as part of their portfolio. Main Responsibilities:
Drive strategic evolution by creating short and long term vision for the team, prepare reports and presentations for the Board as well as provide progress reports at all meetings. Act as a go-to person for operational, commercial, and client relationship guidance. Forecast resource needs, strategically allocate team members to projects, approve high value budgets and maintain them, improve project lifecycle processes and collaborate on budget forecasting with the FD. Collaborate on developing RFP teams and challenge client briefs if necessary, addressing escalated delivery issues, evaluate client profitability and identify and secure new business opportunities. Develop training material for new joiners, participate in performance conversations, provide guidance on reporting lines and team structures and most importantly, be an accessible leader!

The Person..

A natural, experienced leader, well-versed in motivating and empowering the team, acting as a role model, coach and mentor, particularly when inevitable challenges arise. Emotionally intelligent individual, able to set standards and moderate authority and support, knowing the value of when to listen. We are ideally looking for someone who has previous experience of delivering growth and has worked within an agency to deliver a change of strategy with a proven record of delivering these visions and taking an agency to their next phase of success.

Extensive, proven experience and knowledge of the events industry, holding senior level positions and providing strategic input at Board level. A willingness to "get your hands dirty" in order to support the team in achieving deadlines while managing demands from multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
