Campaign Manager - Media Group

Summary

An award-winning international media group and leading digital business is looking for a Campaign Manager to join the ad operations team to manage digital advertising campaigns across national newspaper websites, mobile and tablet apps.

The successful candidate will report to the Head of Ad Operations and will be supporting sales teams throughout the pitching process right through to delivery of the campaigns.

The role involves understanding and interpreting the digital inventory, producing internal reporting/analytics and taking responsibility to achieve the optimum sell through and delivery rates.

Role Objectives

-ensure full delivery of booked advertising campaigns and to support the digital sales team

-provide insight and analysis into inventory availability across ESI Media platforms

-recommend distribution and allocation of ad inventory to meet commitments to advertisers

-provide insight and analysis into user behavior across ESI Media digital properties

Campaign Management

-manage and monitor online ad campaigns using DFP, Dashboard and Internal Campaign Manager spreadsheets.

-optimisation of campaigns to improve performance and to obtain additional revenue

-work with internal teams Editorial and Business Development and 3rd parties to plan and deliver complex campaigns.

Trafficking & Campaign Set Up

-manage the accurate scheduling, creation, trafficking and QA of all display campaigns

-maintain ad-spec sheets and be the primary point of contact for creative/technical related enquiries

-coordinate with our ad serving vendor and any 3rd-party ad servers

-troubleshoot and resolve all internal and external issues associated with ad campaigns

-proactively identify, implement and manage systems and processes

Essential skills:

  • Strong quantitative and analytical abilities
  • Advanced spreadsheet and database management skills
  • Excellent project-management skills
  • Solid HTML, JavaScript & Rich Media knowledge coupled with internet technical expertise
  • Expertise using MS Office: Excel, Word, Powerpoint
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to deal with people at all levels
  • An analytical and systematic approach to problem solving
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to "think outside of the box"
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a high-paced environment
  • Ability to work to deadlines, to prioritize work load and deliver accurate information

Beneficial

  • Experience with one or more online ad servers, such as DFP, Atlas, OAS, Helios
  • An understanding of programmatic advertising
  • Familiarity with digital advertising, sales, and marketing concepts & metrics
