Business Development Manager - Brand Experience Agency - London

Are you a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to play a pivotal role in driving growth within our partner agency? As a key driver of new business development, you will be responsible for implementing a strategic lead generation approach to attract prospective clients into their sales pipeline.

About Agency:

DNA have partnered with a renowned Brand Experience Agency to help them find a Business Development Manager. The agency possesses a keen understanding of the Brand Experience industry, including their competitors and complementary sectors such as Events, Design, and Creative, with a specific focus on growth areas. Additionally, they stay well-informed about industry trends, key players, and decision-makers through continuous consumption of industry press.
 
Job roles and responsibilities:
  • Generate new opportunities through outbound business initiatives.
  • Schedule meetings with prospective clients and explore untapped opportunities for agency growth.
  • Actively engage in research, providing valuable insights that influence our target list. Collaborate with the Head of New Business to qualify and prioritize prospects, demonstrating a clear rationale and relevance.
  • Seek insights and feedback on potential clients, understanding their inner workings, challenges, and concerns.
  • Share relevant information regarding agency sectors, clients, or projects with internal teams, contributing to our agency knowledge bank.
  • Manage an insight-driven database, ensuring GDPR compliance and up-to-date contact information.
  • Collaborate with the Head of New Business to develop a suite of Lead Generation assets, contributing to agency credentials as an industry thought leader.
  • Present confidently, representing the agency as a passionate ambassador for our work and team.
  • Utilize negotiation skills gained through experience in the sales process.
  • Support RFP responses by collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
  • Reconnect with lapsed clients, fostering warm relationships within the broader agency network.
  • Leverage existing contacts to initiate conversations with potential clients and prospects.
  • Regularly update team performance figures against established targets.
  • Quickly form relationships by identifying areas of mutual interest and connection.
  • Manage upwards and outwards, taking accountability for results.
  • Build partnerships throughout client and industry networks, continually seeking ways to expand professional connections.
  • Effectively persuade and positively influence conversion through the relevant steps of the sales funnel.
 
Requirements:
  • Understanding of Brand Experience industry and competitors.
  • Familiarity with Events, Design, and Creative industries.
  • Confident knowledge of agency’s offerings.
  • Ability to cite case studies.
  • Proven ability to generate new opportunities.
  • Skill in booking meetings and researching prospects.
  • Management of an insight-driven database.
  • Confidence in presenting and negotiating.
  • Collaboration in RFP responses.
  • Quick relationship building.
  • Reconnecting with lapsed clients.
  • Understanding of agency profitability.
  • Adherence to "time is money" principle.
  • Proactive in generating alternative ideas.
  • Analytical ability to interpret data.
  • Positive, social, and open demeanor.
  • Demonstrates hunger, drive, and tenacity.
  • Builds partnerships in client and industry networks.
  • Actively expands professional networks.
 
Salary: £55,000
