Building Services Mechanical Supervisor – Events Venue - London
Salary: 55,000 + Bonus

Are you ready to take the lead in maintaining the operational excellence of a prominent venue in London? DNA Recruit are working with one of our leading venue clients looking for a dynamic and experienced Building Services Mechanical Supervisor to join their multi-disciplinary team.
Position Overview: As a Building Services Mechanical Supervisor, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of a key venue in London. Reporting to the Building Services Manager, you will lead a team of skilled engineers, overseeing the maintenance and operational aspects of various systems, including HVAC, Gas, Pressure Systems, Plumbing & Drainage Systems, Sprinkler Systems, Water Hygiene, and associated Mechanical Equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct supervision of a team of 4 Mechanical Engineers.
  • Oversight of all Mechanical Discipline sub-contractors.
  • Ensure timely completion of maintenance, repairs, and small projects.
  • Compliance with industry standards, departmental procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Management of statutory and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Regular liaison with the Building Services Manager and cross-departmental collaboration.
Main Activities:
  • Leadership in maintaining continuous operation through a Monday to Friday, 40-hour workweek.
  • First-line management of the mechanical team, including performance reviews.
  • Collaboration with other Building Services Supervisors.
  • Implementation of maintenance programs and statutory compliance.
  • Representation of the Building Services department in company meetings.
  • Commitment to the highest level of customer service and continuous improvement.
Key Skills: Essential
  • Relevant Mechanical Engineering qualification (NVQ, City and Guilds Level 2-3).
  • Strong experience in building maintenance and mechanical installations, particularly HVAC.
  • Competency in HVAC systems maintenance and operation.
  • Experience in the commercial gas industry with relevant qualifications.
  • Familiarity with Building Management Systems and Safe Systems of Work Procedures.
  • Health & Safety qualification at least IOSH Managing Safely level.
  • Positive, "can-do" attitude, and a team player.
Desirable
  • Additional health and safety qualification.
  • Experience with a CAFM system (MRI FSI Concept Evolution).
  • Qualifications in IPAF / PASMA / NEBOSH / First Aid.
  • Driving Licence and willingness to drive company vehicles.
