Our client has been a successful City based agency for over 20 years and with a new management team now in place are investing in talent, technology and partnerships. They are creating advertising, digital, design and content for a long list of well-known UK and international finance, corporate and professional services clients.

The Social Media Strategist role is a pivotal one within the Strategy team and as a niche and regulated sector they require someone who already knows, or is willing to learn fast, the various FCA and global financial compliance regulations as they pertain to social media. Your role will fundamentally be to get creative ideas and can bring them to life through clear, achievable social media strategies and plans, and will need to know best practice for social and how to develop a campaign across broad mix of objectives. And understand a brand and campaign idea and be able to help clients explore innovative ways of getting that brand out there. Other responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising with senior clients, and to spot opportunities and drive them forwards to make a key strand of agency activity.
  • Working on existing clients and campaigns, advising on strategy for paid and organic social activity
  • Inputting into new business opportunities and driving social as a new business in its own right by growing existing client relationships and bringing in new ones.
  • running social media for a financial clients, executing campaigns and campaign management, as well as planning and strategy.
  • Managing your own workload and help out others within the creative and account teams, and offering support where it is needed.

Is it you?

The Social Media Strategist role will have a lot of autonomy so you will need to be confident in presenting and advising high profile and senior clients. Content and social skills are essential as you must be able to think from an ideas perspective as much as being strategic. Ideally (and a big plus) you have broad digital strategy and content strategy experience as well and can plan across digital channels in an integrated manner.

Salary: up to £55K plus benefits
