Service Designer - eCommerce - London and Midlands

Join a dynamic team as a Service Designer and play a key role in shaping the future of a leading retail company globally. This UK-based role will enhance the company's digital presence.

The Service Designer will be responsible for designing business services within the global Customer Interaction team, with areas of responsibility spanning customer interfaces such as web, mobile, CRM, and marketing. The successful candidate will be skilled at understanding customer journeys, stakeholder mapping, and creating overall service blueprints. The role involves prototyping and piloting new service experiences, leading continuous improvement activities, and working with technical and success management teams.

Role Requirements:

  • Envision the overall service and coordinate with multiple teams to ensure delivery.
  • Design world-class services that blend digital, physical and human interactions.
  • Translate customer interaction concepts into simple designs.
  • Develop the overall service design including customer journeys and branding guidelines.
  • Identify the needs of all stakeholders and operators in a service.
  • Lead continuous improvement activities to make designs more repeatable and quicker to realise.

We are seeking candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • Strong experience in service design
  • Ability to envision the overall service and coordinate with multiple teams
  • Ability to design world-class services that blend digital, physical, and human interactions
  • Excellent stakeholder mapping and customer journey analysis skills
  • Strong prototyping and piloting skills
  • Experience in leading continuous improvement activities
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
