Senior Meetings & Events Coordinator - Events Venue - London

DNA Recruit is working with a prestigious Events venue based in Central London who are looking to grow their team with an experienced Senior Meetings & Events Coordinator. The ideal candidates will ideally have worked within a similar corporate events venue or working within a similar role within a 4 star or 5 star hotel.

The role will involve taking enquiries from potential clients looking to hold a meeting or events within the venue being the first point of contact for all enquiries, ensuring that the bookings diary and database is kept up to date at all times with site visits and final details. You will need to up-sell other services across the venue including the best meeting/events space, AV services and Catering. As the venue hosts predominantly corporate events, it would be a 37.5 hour week (excl meals) mostly Mon - Fri

Some of the duties would include:

• To be a primary point of contact for external clients for events of over 200 delegates
• To ensure there is a balance in workloads between the Senior co-ordinators for new enquiries & final details coordinating ensure enquiries are handled in a timely manner
• To work with the sales manager during busy times to ensure all enquiries are replied to in the time required
• Support the team looking after smaller events when necessary, responding to enquiries or assisting on final details
• Conduct all new enquiries following the standards of best practice
• To work with all clients to ensure that you understand their event & offer the best meeting/event space, AV & catering for their event.
• To up sell additional menu items and AV facilities to clients to maximise revenue
• To be conversant with the AV/IT and catering facilities, including some technical and operational understanding
• To work with the Sales Manager to actively promote the venue
• To deputise for the sales manager, completing monthly reports, attending meetings and presentations as necessary.
