Our client develops first-rate software, and their revolutionary technology allows the web to perform any action and deliver any data stored on the cloud. Our client operates entirely remotely with teams dispersed throughout the UK and Europe.
We are looking for a Principal Typescript/Node.js engineer who is well-versed and experienced in performing weekly 1:1's, working closely with Product Owners to review report code, and leading a team of approximately five individuals. As a Principal Full-Stack Typescript Engineer, you will play a key role in their engineering team, utilizing a collaborative and experimental approach to evolve their platform. Prior to undertaking any significant development work, they employ a prototyping process, in which you will develop a prototype, implement it, and take it into production.
As a Principal Typescript/Node.js engineer, you will be responsible for managing a team of about 5 people, getting features ready for production, leveraging and enhancing their standards, communicating effective metrics for the code you write, being aware of its performance and how to observe them, and performing weekly 1:1's.
Our client's technology stack includes Node.js-based microservices written in TypeScript for backend development, with MongoDB, Redis, and SQL for storage, Redis and WebSockets for messaging, and Kubernetes, Docker, CI on GitHub Workflows, with Tooling written in Go for platform development.
To be eligible for this position, you should have management experience, lead junior team members, have experience with TypeScript development in strict mode with Node.js, and have experience with Redis, SQL, and MongoDB storage.
Our client is offering a salary of £80,000-£85,000 plus share options and outstanding benefits.
