DNA Recruit are working with an award winning medical communications agency who provide strategic communications support and programmes globally.

The role of Medical Writer is to provide project oriented tasks as briefed by the agency and their client, reporting to the principle Medical Writer, and discussing with them the specifications and timelines agreed with both. The tasks will involve working on various projects, writing training materials, slide kits, conference abstracts/posters, outputs of advisory boards and scientific symposia, manuscript writing, creative/strategic input, liaison with clients; opinion leaders; and outside contractors. Your role will involve some onsite attendance as required at meetings, conferences, seminars and committees as well as client and agency meetings where necessary and identifying potential resourcing problems and seeking to organise external contractors where necessary in conjunction with the Medical Writing lead team. Day to day responsibilities will include, but are not limited:

• Manage each assigned task/project, keeping your manager informed on the progress of the project
• Receive and act on feedback from the team to continuously improve medical writing skills
• Liaise with your manager to swiftly resolve resourcing problems and any conflicts with schedules that may arise
• Seek to input both creatively and strategically in meetings and during project development.
• Develop, manage and deliver high quality project documents and written materials
• Assist in development and maintenance of budgets associated with medical writing work
• Manage and plan all writing activities in line with an agreed budget and timelines
• Maintain a respectful and professional working environment
• Support the development of new business proposals and attend pitches where necessary

Salary: up to £42K plus benefits
