DNA Recruit are working with an exciting global retail experience agency who specialist in retail experience design and are obsessed with improving how people shop and interact with an impressive portfolio of retail brands. With the worlds of digital and physical retail continuing to merge, our client work tirelessly to answer one question: what's next!

Reporting to the Strategy Director, the Senior Strategist will be working across a range of clients with a focus on the agency's FMCG accounts, taking ownership of strategy development, partnering with their design and client service teams to bring it to life. A "typical" day might include any of the following:

• Turning a folder full of research reports into a handful of key insights
• Leading qual/quant reports with our research partners
• Using data and insights to tell a compelling story
• Analysing shopper profiles and demographics
• Conducting a trade audit, making critical observations and identifying opportunities
• Creating a strategic framework to help guide our design team's approach to a brief e.g. a messaging hierarchy for the path to purchase
• Developing an omni-channel marketing program or trade toolkit (global and local)
• Creative concepting and ideation
• Writing a creative brief
• Leading brainstorms and workshops, both internally and with clients
• Co-creating pitch presentations

Is it you?

As Senior Strategist your approach is rooted in an understanding of the consumer & shopper, and a passion for knowledge when it comes to content, technology and shopper psychology. You are driven to dig for what you are looking for, leaning into intuition to drive a compelling story for your clients. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and show up with a drive to deliver world class work every day. You are also a strong storyteller who is highly competent at writing and delivering impactful presentations and you bring with you:

• Experience in a strategic role, retail and shopper marketing experience (desired)
• Ability to navigate ambiguity - "strategy" can mean very different things to people!
• Proven track record of the creation and delivery of marketing strategies
• Strong understanding of the retail landscape, including channels, trends and technologies
• Core foundational knowledge in digital and shopper marketing, e-commerce and omni-channel integration
• Previously worked on trade promotions and competitions (preferred)
• Team player who has worked comfortably in a team environment and briefing designers
• Ability to construct strategic narratives based on data and market trends, presenting them to clients in an engaging and compelling manner.
• Passionate about the psychology behind how and why shoppers make purchase decisions
• Highly-skilled using Powerpoint, Google Slides and Keynote with proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
