This is a senior role with one of the industry's top B2B agencies, developing business development strategies for a wide range of clients across agencies, Martech and digital. You will lead each client relationship, developing programmes that bring together content marketing, events, PR, digital and lead generation as part of a joined up approach to increase awareness, build relationships and generate a healthy pipeline of opportunities for your clients.

The focus of the role is to develop long standing client relationships. You will lead a team and ensure they are delivering on expectations across all associated activity as well as guiding each client towards achieving their new business objectives.
Additionally, you will contribute to developing and winning new clients and the overall growth of the business.
This role will suit someone with strong business development experience, looking to play a more consultative role across a portfolio of ambitious clients - as well as playing a key role in the management team.
- Client Delivery
- Take overall responsibility for a portfolio of clients, and delivering desired results.
- Develop a deep understanding of each client's business and the challenges they face, using this knowledge to define a strategy covering targeting, proposition, tools and campaign activity plan.
- Engage effectively and lead discussions with senior clients as part of on-boarding, monthly and quarterly meetings and whenever there are issues or uncertainties.
- Oversee all activities to ensure timeliness and effectiveness of actions, and rigour of reporting.
- Ensure all team members are always clear on responsibilities and expectations.
- Client Retention and Development
Take overall responsibility for the development of strong, long term relationships with all clients across your portfolio. By implementing a plan for each client covering specific actions to broaden and deepen the relationship.
Ensure everyone is always positive and proactive in their client dealings, openly sharing information and ideas, exceeding expectations and adding value beyond the agreed work.
Actively consider the full range of services offered by the business and persuade clients to consider all relevant additional services.
Management and People Development
Demonstrate 'role model' behaviour as one of the leaders of the business, always doing the best for the company and creating an inspiring, enjoyable and effective work environment.
Help recruit, manage and lead a team of up to 5, including Senior Business Development Managers and campaign team. Support and develop your team's skills and capabilities to help fulfil their potential.
Foster a positive team spirit and encourage collaboration, within teams and across the business and commit to developing your own skills and capabilities.
Involvement and support with major pitches and proposals for new clients, driving growth of your client portfolio.
