DNA Recruit are working with a global Shopper Marketing Agency who work with well known global FMCG clients drive their business growth and pioneering the most effective ways of connecting shoppers both in-store and online as the retail world evolves. With international growth over the last 10 years, and new clients, they are looking to expand their London & European teams to nurture and grow new client wins in Europe.

DNA Recruit are keen to find their client a shopper marketing Account Director who must be German/English speaking but can be located anywhere in UK/Europe, but MUST have base level of German market knowledge as some of the projects are specifically related to the German market and other European regional clients. Reporting to the Business Director the Account Director will be supported by partners in Germany and also London, and will be the lead POC for projects across the client portfolio and inspiring trust from all levels of the client shopper and trade teams. Responsibilities include:

  • Day to day contact with client teams managing expectations and keeping all stakeholders up to date on the status of each project.
  • Briefing, ongoing management and delivery of best in class creative through the Agency's in-house team
  • Working with the Business Director to meet forecasts across the client portfolio, and financial management of projects from quotation through to profitable delivery.
  • Running of own projects and support of line manager in delivery of others
  • Attendance (via zoom / Teams and in person) at client meetings and workshops as the voice of shopper marketing and presentation of work to clients.
  • Attendance at all agency briefings, workshops, hot houses etc as the voice of shopper marketing
  • Identification of interesting / breakthrough / new communication campaigns / techniques / channels that are relevant and would interest clients

Is it you?

The Account Director must be fluent in German but have a very good level of English, with strong shopper marketing experienced within an agency or clientside setting and it is essential to have experience of delivering complex projects (across geographies and with multiple stakeholders). You have demonstrable experience of developing strong client relationships and contributing to building account profitability, a hands on approach to delivering projects is a must, and a keen strategic intellect with an eye for compelling creative. Our client would consider the position of both permanent or freelance role and you can be based geographically anywhere in Europe.

Salary: up to £80K DOE plus benefits
