Account Director - Experiential


An experienced Account Director Experiential urgently needed to join this top London experiential agency that specialises in helping brands do exciting things in the real world and create authentic communications across the marketing spectrum.

The AD will work on activation projects across a variety of accounts in FMCG/Food & Travel and have 4-6 reports.

The Role:

  1. To effectively manage account(s) covering day-to-day management, strategic development and identification of new opportunities and overall quality control.

  2. Regularly update the Board on all issues affecting the account(s)

  3. To provide practical support to the Board in the general management of the Agency

  4. To contribute to the Agency culture, process and policy - lead by example.

  5. To develop staff within your team

  6. To maintain account(s) profitability

  7. To promote the adherence of financial control procedures

  8. Represent the Agency to your Clients and develop strong personal relationships


  1. Direct the implementation of agreed projects, specifically by sign off of the following:
  • Budgets and timings
  • Creative / copy briefs
  • Staffing and staff briefings
  • Artwork and production
  • Logistics
  • Invoicing
  • Supplier invoices
  • Evaluation
  1. Ensure quality of total Agency product.
  2. Demonstrate strong problem solving and analytical capabilities.
  3. Regularly measure progress of team and make recommendations
  4. Ensure that you have the appropriate staff allocated to each piece of business.
  5. Accurately forecast income and margin to appropriate targets.
  1. Undertake monthly financial reviews to monitor billing, WIP and debtors.
  2. Create and exploit opportunities to develop the Agency's interests with the Client.
  1. Manage Client/Agency review process where appropriate.
  2. Produce evaluation reports for each major piece of work, and liaise with New Business Director on overlap with new business pipeline/initiatives

Is this you:

  1. Minimum four years agency/communications experience.
  2. Good leadership, motivational and man management skills.
  3. Sound business judgement and financial/resource planning
  1. Good transferable Client skills.
  2. Be self-motivating and have the ability to develop and win business
  3. Enthusiastic and positive with a real desire to drive things forward.

They are looking for someone who has been an Account Director for 6 months +. They are not looking for SAMs ready to make the move to AD. You should have 2-3 years' experience at an experiential agency. They are looking for people who have been responsible for high volume sampling campaigns, not just one off events.
