The role of Principle Electrical Design Engineer
Working under the Principle Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for running a team of people within the MEP building services group whilst leading single and multi-discipline projects on behalf of the group.
As the successful Principle Electrical Design Engineer you will prepare and take responsibility for project engineering solutions for detail design whilst also preparing electrical specifications and monitoring work completed by the team.

It is essential that the suitable Principle Electrical Design Engineer has excellent communication skills. This is a very client facing role which will involve developing Client relationships and securing repeat work where available and possible. In the role of Principle Electrical Design Engineer you will be assisting the Associate in seeking work from new and existing clients.
In addition to this you will assist with the management of the team and will have to be able to communicate effectively at all levels.
You will be working as a Senior Electrical Design Engineer or Principal Design Engineer at present and whilst UAE project experience and local authority knowledge would be an advantage, this consultancy are looking to take on strong experienced candidates from the UK with ambition and a genuine interest in work in in the Middle East and be involved in the exciting mega projects.
To Apply for the Principle Electrical Design Engineer position you must be able to say yes to the following -
- Do you hold Chartered or Incorporated Engineering status?
- Do you have a degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services?
- Are you a design engineer undertaking design based engineering?
- Do you have large building service project experience - preferably high rise working for a consultancy?
- Do you have a minimum of 8-10 yrs experience in design engineering for Electrical in building services?
