This global consultancy are known in the industry as being one of the world's most established and accomplished firms and listed in the Sunday Times Best Companies to Work for over the last 3 years running. They are looking to recruit an experienced CDM co-ordinator/Senior CDM Co-ordinator for an exciting role in Birmingham within the Health and Safety team.
The role is based in the central Birmingham office in the West Midlands and will be offering regional support for central region within the health and safety team.
The CDM Co-ordinator will be required to have sound technical knowledge and be able to deliver good quality to the role of CDM Co-ordinator within the Health and Safety team. You will be working from the Birmingham office on high profile and challenging projects over all major sectors and with progressive clients, providing competent guidance and advice in health and safety and according to CDM regulations, to project teams, support staff and Clients.
The role
This role will suit a CDM Co-ordinator looking to move in to a great working environment and progress the role further, or you may also be an ambitious intermediate level CDM Co-ordinator looking to take the next step in their career. The main requirement is to provide advice and to manage the processes to achieve a safer working environment for construction operatives, maintainers and users over the life cycle of the building or structure. You will undertake day to day responsibility for the role of CDM co-ordinator on the offices working within the Birmingham Health and Safety team on a full portfolio of projects.
It is essential that you have a good, sound understanding of the design and construction process in the context of health and safety.
Duties for the role include:
- Acting as CDM co-ordinator on a portfolio of projects
- Supervising other staff undertaking CDM roles and projects
- Guiding and advising Clients in order to allow them to comply with CDM regulations
- Preparing fee quotations and tender bids for potential CDM Co-ordinator appointments
- Ensuring customer care, internal and external developments
Ideally you will hold the NEBOSH construction certificate, associate membership of IOSH and either an Associate member of the Health and Safety Register as administered by ICE, member of the Association of Project Safety or Institution of Construction Safety.
